Renewable Energy Forum

The majority of Australia’s current coal and gas-fired power plants are operating beyond their design life irrespective of political point-scoring. We are at a point where Australia’s electricity production must be modernised.  Labor thinks that where possible, electricity production should be clean, modern energy.

Economists, industry, manufacturers, business leaders, farmers and everyday consumers are calling for more energy certainty. The consequence of not taking action will result in higher power bills, more pollution, and jeopardised supply. Labor is committed to delivering our nation a reliable, affordable, clean energy future.

Come and join Mark Butler MP, Federal Labor’s Shadow Minister for Climate Change and Energy and the Hon Mark Bailey MP, Queensland Minister for Energy, Biofuels and Water Supply for a conversation about Labor’s commitment to secure renewable energy.
