Lions Art Show Entries Closing Soon

Calling all artists.  Entries are closing in a few days for your chance to win seven and a half thousand dollars ($7,500) in prize money through this year’s annual Macgregor Lions Art Show.

Brisbane Macgregor Lions Club spokesman, Mr Ken Mulcahy said entries would close on 1st June for the Art Extravaganza to be held at Garden City Shopping Centre Upper Mt Gravatt in the forthcoming school holidays.

Artists would compete for valuable prizes in categories covering oils and acrylics, watercolours, pastels, mixed media and the best depiction of winter.

There’s a new category this year for Scratchboard entries, which is believed to be only the second time Scratchboard artists have had an opportunity to showcase their work in Australia.

And…there would be more prizes for the Best in Show and People’s Choice awards.

Funds raised from the Brisbane Macgregor Lions Art Extravaganza would benefit Multicap and the State Special Schools at Kuraby and Sunnybank.
