The Aurizon Community Giving Fund is again open for applications and closes 27 October 2017 at 5pm AEST.
The fund has awarded cash grants to more than 40 not-for-profit organisations in South Queensland from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, Ipswich and across the South West since its inception in 2011. This included a special round this year to assist communities recover from Cyclone Debbie.Read more

Universities in Queensland will have their funding cut, in total, by more than $400 million. Griffith University in my electorate will have its funding cut by more than $85 million; the University of Queensland, just across the river, will have its funding cut by more than $96 million; and the Queensland University of Technology will have its funding cut by more than $89 million.Read more
